they have the same latency n6 and i have also tested in it a known pair of RAMs that work as dual channel from my other rig. so that narrows down to the procie.
the mobo is out of the question already since i was going to rma it and the supplier tested it and it worked fine but not with my procie and ram.

Well, if the memories are the same, you may try testing the memories in pairs first.

Memory A and Memory B in Slot 1 and Slot 3
If ok,
Memory C and Memory D in Slot 1 and Slot 3
If ok, this confirms that 4pcs of memories are ok, so memory is not the issue here.
You may need to check slot 2 or slot 4.

May be you can check if the memories can run dual channel first..
To identify exact where the problem is, please show some CPU-Z pages, e.g. MB, Memory, SPD, etc.
And what'e the memory part number? AFAIK, it should start with KVR something....
